With the Resolution Season right around the corner, we thought it would be a great time to talk about weight loss supplements. According to an article in the Washington Post last year, weight loss is the number one resolution people make with 21% of adults followed closely by exercising at 14%.
Congratulations! You made it through Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday in one piece! I don't know about you, but it always seems like this time of year just shows up without warning, and all of the sudden, I'm deep into shopping for gifts and writing out lists and planning meals and figuring out last minute holiday travel plans. Compound that with a lot of family time (in an election year... eeek) and the pressure to have your house decorated *just so* and it's no surprise that we can often feel a bit stressed out around the holiday season.
Did you know that the last week of September is Active Aging Week? It was initiated by the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) in 2003. The week-long campaign calls attention to and wholeheartedly celebrates the positivity of aging today. We agree with the ICAA that adults over 50 can live as fully as possible in all areas of life – physical, social, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational and environmental.
As we continue on the topic of mind, mood and memory support, we wanted to touch on the topic of stress. Modern life is crazy. Expectations are high, responsibilities are many, traffic is crazy, everyone in the family is involved in a hundred and one activities, the fridge is broken, the car has to go to the mechanic, and so on... It's incredibly easy these days to feel stressed out.
