Men's 50+ Multivitamin – Energy, Eye and Stress Support | 60 Capsules
Men's 50+ is a daily multivitamin for men over 50. Each 2-capsule serving provides 13 vitamins and 10 minerals, including 25 mcg vitamin D3 and 25 mcg vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, plus 300 mg KSM-66® ashwagandha, 100 mg CoQ10, and 10 mg lutein with 2 mg zeaxanthin from Lutemax® 2020. A 60-capsule bottle holds 30 servings. It supports energy metabolism, a healthy stress response and macular pigment.†
This one is for men who plan to keep going: lifting, hiking, working, or just refusing to slow down. After 50 a few basics shift. NIH advises people over 50 to get most of their B12 from supplements or fortified foods, and skin makes less vitamin D from sunlight with age. Men's 50+ covers those basics, then adds three extras with their own research.
Aging isn't optional. Getting old is. A multivitamin won't do the walking for you, but it can handle the nutrition basics so you keep doing it.

How Men's 50+ works
Vitamin D3, B12 and folate in the forms your body uses
Vitamin D is cholecalciferol (D3), the form your skin makes. The 25 mcg here is 1,000 IU. NIH sets the adult target at 15 mcg through age 70 and 20 mcg after, with an upper limit of 100 mcg a day from all sources. A meta-analysis of head-to-head trials found D3 raised blood vitamin D levels more than D2 overall, but when dosing schedules were compared the edge held for large, infrequent doses and disappeared with daily dosing like this (Tripkovic 2012).
B12 is methylcobalamin, one of the two coenzyme forms the body runs on. Research hasn't shown one supplemental B12 form beats another; after 50, the point is getting B12 in supplement form at all. Folate comes from calcium folinate, a reduced folate that skips the conversion steps folic acid needs before your body can use it. Thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, B6, biotin and pantothenic acid round out the B vitamins that support normal energy metabolism.† Vitamin E is d-alpha-tocopherol, the form found in food, and vitamin K is K2 as MK-7, a long-lasting menaquinone.
Minerals, mostly bound to amino acids or citrate
Zinc is bound to methionine, selenium comes as selenomethionine, and chromium, molybdenum and magnesium are amino acid chelates. The 1 mg of copper is a sensible partner for the zinc, since the two compete for absorption. Honest note: calcium (13 mg) and magnesium (20 mg) are token amounts, since full doses won't fit in two capsules. For a meaningful magnesium dose, take Good Magnesium, our magnesium chelate, separately.
KSM-66® ashwagandha (300 mg)
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is an Ayurvedic herb usually called an adaptogen; KSM-66 is a branded root extract. Research points to the body's stress-response system, which sets your cortisol rhythm. In a 60-day trial in 60 stressed but healthy adults, 240 mg a day of a different ashwagandha extract lowered clinician-rated worry and tension scores, and morning cortisol, more than placebo; a self-rated stress scale only trended that way (Lopresti 2019). A review that pooled 12 trials in healthy men and women found ashwagandha outperformed placebo on physical performance measures (strength and power, cardiorespiratory fitness, fatigue and recovery), though the authors call for more comparable studies (Bonilla 2021). Neither tested this formula.
CoQ10 (100 mg)
Coenzyme Q10 shuttles electrons inside your mitochondria, where cells make ATP, their energy currency, and it doubles as a fat-soluble antioxidant. Your body makes its own. In organ tissue from people aged one day to 81 years, CoQ10 in most organs peaked around age 20 and declined steadily after (Kalén 1989). That study doesn't show that supplements restore tissue levels, but it is why CoQ10 earns a spot in a 50+ formula.
Lutein and zeaxanthin from Lutemax® 2020
These yellow carotenoids, extracted from marigold flowers, collect in the center of the retina as macular pigment, which filters blue light. In a one-year trial in 115 healthy young adults, those taking 10 mg lutein and 2 mg zeaxanthin daily (the same amounts as this serving) had higher blood levels by the first 3-month check and denser macular pigment, and they recovered faster after a bright flash and saw color contrast more clearly than the placebo group; glare tolerance didn't change significantly (Hammond 2014). The volunteers were younger than you, so read that as a dose match, not an age match.
The fruit and vegetable blend (171 mg)
Fourteen ingredients, including bilberry standardized to 25% anthocyanosides, share 171 mg. That's a garnish, not a salad. Keep eating your kale.
Does a daily multi do anything measurable?
Some evidence says yes. In a 3-year trial of 3,562 older adults, people taking a daily multivitamin beat placebo on an immediate word-recall test at one year and across the study; other thinking tests didn't differ (Yeung 2023). That was a different formula, so it speaks to multis in general, not this bottle.
How to take Men's 50+
The label says: "As a dietary supplement, take two capsules daily."
It doesn't specify timing. A meal or snack with some fat is a sensible choice, since NIH notes vitamin D absorbs most efficiently that way, and vitamins A, E and K, CoQ10 and lutein are fat-soluble too. Consistency matters more than the clock.
Ask your healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition.
Don't take our word for it
- Verified by independent labs. ISO 17025-accredited labs check our test results.
- Every ingredient lot tested before use. Federal rules only require an identity test on incoming dietary ingredients. We test every incoming lot for identity, potency, heavy metals and microbes.
- If it misses spec, it doesn't go in a bottle. More than 99% of our tests pass, and the lots that don't are turned away.
- A certificate of analysis for every lot. Every production lot of Men's 50+ gets its own CoA.
Made in the USA, in Mt. Angel, Oregon. We source ingredients globally, then make and test the product here, in a farm town of about 3,500 people in the Willamette Valley. Our UL-certified cGMP facility keeps formulators, makers and testers under one roof. The owners work in the building too (owner-run since 2017), so the people who decide what happens to a lot that misses spec are down the hall. We've been making supplements in Oregon since 1974. That's 52 years, and we're not getting old either.
Frequently asked questions
How do I take Men's 50+?
Two capsules a day, which is one serving. The bottle holds 30 servings, a 30-day supply at the label's serving. A meal with some fat helps the fat-soluble nutrients absorb.
How is Men's 50+ different from your Men's Multi?
Per the two labels, Men's 50+ has 25 mcg vitamin D3 versus 12.5 mcg, 140 mcg selenium versus 70 mcg, 35 mg NE niacin versus 25 mg NE, and 100 mg CoQ10 versus 50 mg, and it lists 10 mg lutein and 2 mg zeaxanthin as their own lines. Under 50? Men's Multi, our everyday men's multivitamin, is the simpler pick.
Can I take Men's 50+ with other Mt. Angel supplements?
Usually, but watch for overlaps. Maximum Male, our KSM-66 and tribulus formula, also has 300 mg of KSM-66, so together that's 600 mg of ashwagandha extract a day. Everyday Liquid Sunshine 2 D3 and K2 drops add 125 mcg of D3 per serving; with this multi that's 150 mcg, above NIH's 100 mcg upper limit, so pair them only if your practitioner recommends it.
How long before I notice anything?
Give it two to three months of daily use, and know that some people never "feel" a multivitamin. In the studies above, lutein and zeaxanthin blood levels were up by the first 3-month check, and the ashwagandha trial ran 60 days.
Is Men's 50+ safe with my medication?
Ask your healthcare practitioner first. Mention the 80 mcg of vitamin K2, which matters if you take a blood thinner such as warfarin, and the 300 mg of ashwagandha extract.
Is there a version for women?
Yes. Women's 50+, our multivitamin for women over 50, also lists KSM-66® ashwagandha, CoQ10 and Lutemax® 2020 on its front label.
