Cellular Energy Healthy Aging Advanced Formula

Count: 60

60

NMN + NR with Resveratrol and TMG is a 60-capsule NAD+ formula. Each 2-capsule serving provides 500 mg β-nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), 200 mg nicotinamide riboside (NR), 250 mg resveratrol, 50 mg TMG, 50 mg Bioperine® black pepper extract and 10 mg zinc (as bisglycinate chelate), to support cellular energy production and healthy NAD+ levels.†

NMN and NR are two building blocks your body uses to make NAD+, which every cell needs for energy and upkeep. This formula puts both in one bottle. It's built for people in their late 30s and 40s who are already working on energy and cellular health, and for anyone over 50 who plans to keep going strong. Aging isn't optional. Getting old is.

Why people take NMN + NR

  • Healthy NAD+ levels. NMN and NR are both NAD+ precursors, and each raised blood NAD+ in placebo-controlled trials in healthy adults.†
  • Cellular energy. Your mitochondria use NAD+ to turn food into ATP, the energy your cells run on.†
  • Normal DNA repair. PARPs, enzymes involved in routine DNA repair, need NAD+ to work, and so do sirtuins.†
  • Antioxidant support. Resveratrol is a plant polyphenol studied for its role in the body's normal defenses against everyday oxidative stress.†
  • Methylation and enzyme support. TMG donates methyl groups for normal methylation, and zinc helps hundreds of enzymes work.†

How NMN + NR works

NMN (β-nicotinamide mononucleotide), 500 mg

NMN is one step away from NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), a coenzyme in every cell. Mitochondria use NAD+ to make ATP, and sirtuins and PARPs use it up as they work, so cells keep rebuilding it, and NMN is one of the pieces.† Edamame, broccoli and meat contain it, but only about 1 mg per 100 grams, as the authors of a 12-week NMN trial in healthy older men note.

In that trial, 42 healthy men aged 65 and older were randomized to 250 mg of NMN or placebo daily, though a supplier mix-up left 12-week results for only 20 of them. NMN raised NAD+ in whole blood and was well tolerated. Gait speed and left-hand grip showed nominal gains the authors say larger studies must confirm, and muscle mass didn't change. In a 60-day dose-comparison trial in 80 healthy middle-aged adults, 300, 600 or 900 mg a day raised blood NAD+ in every group, most at 600 and 900 mg, and six-minute walk distance rose more than with placebo. Several authors work for chemical and biotech companies, so it's worth seeing repeated. On safety, in a four-week placebo-controlled safety trial in 31 healthy adults funded by an NMN maker, 1,250 mg a day produced no changes beyond normal variation.

What it doesn't show: these trials ran weeks, not years, higher blood NAD+ isn't proof of a change you'll feel, and we haven't found a trial of this exact combination. Our guide to how NAD+ works and why levels change with age goes deeper.

NR (nicotinamide riboside), 200 mg

NR is a form of vitamin B3. Inside cells, an enzyme called NRK turns NR into NMN, which then becomes NAD+. NMN can also be converted to NR outside cells and rebuilt inside. So the two are neighbors on the same road, and taking both offers two entry points.†

In a crossover trial in 30 healthy adults aged 55 to 79, 500 mg of NR twice a day for six weeks was well tolerated and raised NAD+ in blood cells by about 60% versus placebo. The 200 mg here is a supporting dose, not a copy of that trial.

Resveratrol, 250 mg from Polygonum cuspidatum root

Resveratrol is a polyphenol best known from grape skins; ours comes from Japanese knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum) root. Lab research studies how it interacts with sirtuins, the NAD+-using enzymes above, which is why it's often paired with NAD+ precursors. We haven't found human trials of that pairing, and little of a resveratrol dose reaches the blood intact (low bioavailability).

In a small single-dose study of resveratrol with and without piperine, 23 adults took placebo, 250 mg of trans-resveratrol, or the same with 20 mg of piperine, on separate days. Thinking-task scores and mood didn't change, though the pair increased blood flow in the front of the brain during tasks. In a separate group of six, piperine didn't raise blood resveratrol. Interesting, early, and one study.

TMG (trimethylglycine), 50 mg

TMG, also called betaine, carries three methyl groups and hands them off in a process called methylation.† Why it's here: the body clears some of the nicotinamide left over from NAD+ use by attaching methyl groups to it, and TMG is a methyl donor. That's a sensible rationale, not a tested result. In a six-week betaine trial in healthy men and women, 1.5 to 6 grams a day lowered fasting homocysteine 12 to 20% versus placebo. A serving here has 50 mg, so we don't claim that effect.

Bioperine® (black pepper fruit extract), 50 mg

Bioperine® is a black pepper extract rich in piperine, which can change how the body absorbs and breaks down some compounds. The resveratrol study above found no rise in blood levels, so we don't promise one.

Zinc (as bisglycinate chelate), 10 mg

Zinc is needed for the activity of hundreds of enzymes and plays a role in making protein and DNA and in normal cell division, per the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements zinc fact sheet.† Bisglycinate chelate means the zinc is bound to the amino acid glycine. The adult RDA is 8 mg for women and 11 mg for men, and the adult upper limit from all sources is 40 mg a day.

How to take NMN + NR

Directions: Take 2 capsules daily, as a dietary supplement. That one 2-capsule serving a day makes each 60-capsule bottle a 30-day supply.

If you take other zinc, as in a multivitamin, add up your daily total and keep it under the 40 mg adult upper limit.

Ask your healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition.

Don't take our word for it

  • Verified by independent labs. ISO 17025-accredited labs check our test results.
  • Every ingredient lot tested before use. Federal rules only require an identity test on incoming dietary ingredients. We test every incoming lot for identity, potency, heavy metals and microbes.
  • If it misses spec, it doesn't go in a bottle. More than 99% of our tests pass, and the lots that don't are rejected.
  • A certificate of analysis for every lot. See the certificates of analysis for this product.

Made in the USA. Made and tested in Mt. Angel, Oregon. It's a farm town of about 3,500 people in the Willamette Valley, and we make and test this formula there in our UL-certified cGMP facility. Formulators, makers and testers work under one roof, and the owners work in the building too (owner-run since 2017). We've been making supplements in Oregon since 1974. That's 52 years, and we're not getting old either.

Frequently asked questions

How much NMN and NR is in each serving?

Each 2-capsule serving has 500 mg of NMN and 200 mg of NR, plus 250 mg of resveratrol, 50 mg of TMG, 50 mg of Bioperine® and 10 mg of zinc. Trials in healthy adults have used up to 900 mg of NMN a day for 60 days and 1,250 mg a day for four weeks without safety problems, though longer-term data at these amounts are limited.

Why combine NMN and NR?

It gives your body two entry points into the same NAD+ pathway.† We haven't found a trial comparing the pair with an equal amount of either one alone, so it's a reasonable design, not a proven advantage. Here's how NMN and NR differ.

How long before I notice anything?

No one can promise a timeline. Blood NAD+ was already higher at the 30-day check in one trial, but NAD+ isn't something you feel like coffee, and most trials above ran 6 to 12 weeks.

Can I take it with Urolithin A?

Yes. Our Mitochondria Stack pairs one bottle each of NMN + NR and Urolithin A 500 mg. Urolithin A is studied for how cells recycle worn-out mitochondria, while NMN and NR supply NAD+ building blocks.†

Is it safe with medication?

Ask your healthcare practitioner before combining it with medication. Piperine, the main compound in Bioperine®, can change how the body absorbs and processes some compounds, and NAD+ precursors haven't been studied alongside most prescriptions.
