Women's 50+ Multivitamin – Daily Energy, Stress & Eye Support | 60 Capsules
Women's 50+ Multivitamin is a two-capsule daily multi for women over 50: 23 vitamins and minerals plus 300 mg of KSM-66® ashwagandha, 100 mg of CoQ10, and 10 mg of lutein with 2 mg of zeaxanthin from Lutemax® 2020 in every serving. A 60-capsule bottle is a 30-day supply. It supports daily energy, a healthy response to everyday stress and healthy eyes as you age.†
Needs shift after 50. The NIH puts the iron RDA for women 51 and older at 8 mg a day, down from 18 mg at ages 19 to 50 (how much iron women need at each age), and lists older adults among those more likely to run low on B12. This formula has no iron, 25 mcg of B12 as methylcobalamin, and CoQ10, lutein and zeaxanthin on top of the basics.
It's for women who plan to keep hiking, gardening and outlasting everyone at the farmers market for decades. Aging isn't optional. Getting old is. Still in your 30s or 40s? Starting now is smart, and our Women's Multi is the same foundation for that stage.
Why people take Women's 50+ Multivitamin
- Everyday nutrient coverage. 23 vitamins and minerals, 16 at or above 100% of the Daily Value, help fill dietary gaps.†
- Energy from your food. B vitamins help turn food into energy, and CoQ10 helps your mitochondria make ATP, the fuel your cells run on.†
- A healthy response to everyday stress. 300 mg of KSM-66® ashwagandha supports healthy cortisol levels already within the normal range.†
- Healthy eyes. Lutein and zeaxanthin build macular pigment, which filters blue light in the center of your retina.†
- Calcium use. Vitamin D3 helps you absorb calcium, and vitamin K2 activates osteocalcin, a protein that binds calcium in bone.†

How Women's 50+ Multivitamin works
B vitamins, two in ready-to-use forms
B vitamins are working parts of the enzymes that pull energy out of carbohydrates, fats and protein.† B12 here is methylcobalamin, one of the two forms the NIH calls metabolically active; cyanocobalamin has to be converted first. The NIH also notes that no upper limit has been set for B12 because of its low potential for harm (how B12 forms are absorbed and used). Folate comes from calcium folinate, which is already reduced; folic acid must first be reduced by an enzyme whose activity varies a lot between people (how the body converts folic acid).
Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 (MK-7)
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is the form your skin makes in sunlight, and it helps you absorb calcium.† One serving has 25 mcg (1,000 IU); the NIH RDA is 15 mcg for women 51 to 70 and 20 mcg after 70, with an adult upper limit of 100 mcg (vitamin D intakes and upper limits by age).
Vitamin K2 as MK-7 (80 mcg) switches on vitamin K-dependent proteins such as osteocalcin in bone.† In a dose-finding trial in 42 healthy adults aged 18 to 45, MK-7 near the European recommended intake increased the activation of osteocalcin and matrix Gla-protein without changing a blood clotting measure. The groups were small, and the authors say purpose-built trials are needed to learn whether this matters for health.
KSM-66® ashwagandha, 300 mg
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) is a traditional Ayurvedic root classed as an adaptogen, and KSM-66® is a branded extract of that root. The honest picture: a 2025 meta-analysis of randomized trials (488 participants, at least 250 mg a day for two weeks or more) found ashwagandha lowered cortisol, the main stress hormone, by an average of 1.16 µg/dL compared with control groups, but perceived stress scores didn't change significantly.
Closer to this age group, a 12-week placebo-controlled trial in 50 adults aged 65 to 80 found 600 mg a day improved self-rated quality of life, sleep quality and mental alertness on waking. That's twice the dose in one serving here, so we don't promise those exact results.
Coenzyme Q10, 100 mg
CoQ10 is a fat-soluble compound your body makes. In your mitochondria it passes electrons along the chain that produces ATP, and it acts as an antioxidant in cell membranes.† A study of human organ samples from newborns to age 81 found CoQ10 in the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys and spleen peaked around age 20 and declined after that. It measured levels; it didn't test a supplement.
Lutein and zeaxanthin from Lutemax® 2020
Your body can't make these yellow carotenoids (here from marigold flowers). They gather in the macula, the center of the retina, as macular pigment that filters blue light.† A systematic review of 46 studies in 3,189 adults with healthy eyes found macular pigment rose about 0.04 units at 5 to under 20 mg a day (this serving has 12 mg combined) and 0.11 units at 20 mg or more.
They also collect in the brain and may support healthy cognitive function as you age.† In a placebo-controlled trial in community-dwelling older adults (51 analyzed, average age about 74), a 12 mg lutein plus zeaxanthin supplement raised macular pigment and improved complex attention and cognitive flexibility scores. It was a small study, and memory improved only in the men.
Minerals and the blend
Most minerals are bound to amino acids or organic acids (chelates, L-zinc methionine, L-selenomethionine, citrates), and iodine comes from Laminaria digitata, a brown seaweed. The 190 mg blend spreads 15 ingredients across a small amount, so think of it as a supporting extra; we don't claim specific effects from it.
What the research does and doesn't show
No one has tested this exact formula. The studies above test single ingredients, sometimes at higher doses. They show what each ingredient does, not that you'll feel a particular difference by a particular date.
How to take Women's 50+ Multivitamin
Directions from the label: "As a dietary supplement, take two capsules daily."
The label doesn't name a time of day, so pick one you'll remember. CoQ10, lutein, zeaxanthin and vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble, so a meal is a sensible time to take both capsules.
Ashwagandha has been well tolerated in studies of up to about three months, but its long-term safety isn't established. There are a few reports of more serious side effects, including adverse effects on liver function. It might also affect thyroid function and interact with some medications, and some experts advise against it during pregnancy (what the NIH says about ashwagandha safety). Vitamin K can interact with blood thinners such as warfarin (vitamin K and medication interactions). Ask your healthcare practitioner before use if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or have a medical condition.
Don't take our word for it
- Verified by independent labs. ISO 17025-accredited labs check our test results.
- Every ingredient lot tested before use. Federal rules only require an identity test on incoming dietary ingredients. We test every incoming lot, from the KSM-66® to the kale, for identity, potency, heavy metals and microbes.
- If it misses spec, it doesn't go in a bottle. More than 99% of our tests pass, and the lots that don't are turned away.
- A certificate of analysis for every lot. Each one records what that lot was tested for and what the results were.
Made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, in Mt. Angel, Oregon. It's a farm town of about 3,500 people in the Willamette Valley, and our UL-certified cGMP facility sits right in it. The people who formulate, make and test this multi all work under one roof, and the owners work in the building too (owner-run since 2017). We've been making supplements in Oregon since 1974. That's 52 years, and we're not getting old either.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the Women's Multi?
Most of the vitamin and mineral amounts and the 300 mg of KSM-66® ashwagandha are the same; a few B vitamins and the extras differ. Women's 50+ has 100 mg of CoQ10 (Women's Multi has 50 mg), 10 mg of lutein plus 2 mg of zeaxanthin from Lutemax® 2020 (Women's Multi has 1 mg of lutein) and 40 mg of pantothenic acid (versus 20 mg). Women's Multi has more biotin: 1,000 mcg versus 300 mcg.
Does it contain iron or calcium?
There's no iron, and calcium is just 13 mg (1% of the Daily Value), which comes along with the vitamin C. If you want a calcium supplement, Calcium Citrate has 250 mg per capsule. Your practitioner can tell you whether you need iron.
How long before I notice anything?
There's no set timeline, and a multivitamin usually isn't something you feel overnight. The trials cited above lasted weeks to months, and nutrient levels can change without a difference you'd notice day to day.
Can I take it with other Mt. Angel Vitamins products?
Often, yes, but add up what overlaps. CoQ10 Plus Alpha Lipoic Acid adds 100 mg of CoQ10 per capsule, for 200 mg a day together. Everyday Liquid Sunshine 2 has 125 mcg (5,000 IU) of vitamin D3 per serving; with the 25 mcg here that's 150 mcg, above the NIH's 100 mcg (4,000 IU) adult upper limit, so pair those two only if your practitioner recommends it.
Is it safe to take with my medication?
Ask your healthcare practitioner first. Ashwagandha may interact with some medications and affect thyroid function, and vitamin K can interact with blood thinners such as warfarin.
